The sculptor, Linda Klarfeld, adjusts the stacked gold bullion on the backrest of the large banker sculpture. The seated figure, dressed in a formal suit with a reflective polished face, embodies wealth and power with its striking design. The polished reflective face gives a surreal touch to the sculpture.

The Board of Directors Series
was created in 2007 and is an
observation of the corporate world. It was inspired by Linda’s interaction with
many notable business people in Australia. Sculptures from this series are in
private collections in every Australian state, as well as in London and in
Dallas. The Banker guards his
money. He has so much of it that his chair is collapsing under the weight of
the gold.
